My Projects

My successful projects have all been with women.  I teach them how to write their names and how to write numbers and then we start a VSLA, Village Savings and Loan Assosciation.  From there they can lend money to community members and make small profit on the interest.  My women have yet to give loans or take an interest charge, but they are saving lots and lots of money.  We keep the money in a metal box with three locks, and a three different women hold the keys.

Soap making.  I taught a couple different groups how to make soap and from there they started experimenting themselves with which recipes they like best.

These are some projects of my own.

Solar oven, I used to make baked goods.  Its not good enough for bread yet.

Solar dryer, you can buy tons of small local mangos during season.  I slice them and make chips that will keep far longer than the fruit.
